Terms of Service

These terms apply to everyone who uses laxconect.com and its organisation sites: fans, players, parents and guardians, coaches, match officials, and the people who run schools, clubs, leagues and competitions. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you, and must give consent before your profile shows more than your first name and initial.

• Use your real name and an email address you control. One person, one account.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
• Only ask to claim a player profile that is yours, or your child’s. Claims are checked by a team or league administrator before they are linked, and a false claim will be refused and may lead to your account being suspended.

laxConect exists to keep an accurate, trusted record of the game. So:

• Results and statistics are entered by organisers and by officials they have invited, and count only after an organiser approves them. Enter only what actually happened on the field.
• Never enter false scores, inflate a player’s statistics, or change a record to gain an advantage in a competition, selection or scholarship.
• If something is wrong, use “Request a correction” on the player’s profile or contact us. Corrections keep a history, and the organiser’s decision on an approved result stands unless the competition’s own rules say otherwise.
• Statistics, standings and graphics are provided for information. Disputes about a match are for the competition’s organisers and rules, not for laxConect.

If you register or run an organisation or competition on laxConect, you also agree that:

• you are allowed to act for that organisation, and the details you give about it are correct;
• before adding a player, you have their permission, or for anyone under 18 the permission of their parent or guardian, and you will tell us at once if that permission is withdrawn;
• you use player and member information only to run your teams and competitions, keep it confidential, and give administrator or official access only to people who need it;
• you are responsible for the people you invite as administrators and match officials, and you remove their access when they no longer need it;
• fixtures, venues and dates you publish are accurate, and you update them when matches are postponed or moved.

Match officials may enter results and statistics only for the competitions they were invited to.

• Course dates, venues, places and fees are set by the organisers, who may change or cancel a course. Any fees and refunds are between you and the organiser.
• A certificate is issued only when the organiser records that you passed, and anyone with its number can check it. A certificate obtained dishonestly, or a result later withdrawn by the organiser, will show as not valid.
• Do not alter a certificate or present one that isn’t yours. Doing so may be an offence under Kenyan law.

• Upload only photos and text you have the right to share. You keep ownership of what you upload.
• You give laxConect permission to store, resize and display it on the platform and in graphics we generate (such as posters and team-of-the-week cards), for as long as it stays on the platform.
• Do not upload photos of children without their parent or guardian’s consent, or anything that is indecent, hateful, harassing, defamatory, or that shows where someone lives.

Anyone can report a photo. We may remove content that breaks these terms, without notice.

Lacrosse is built on respect for opponents, officials and the game. On laxConect, do not:

• harass, bully, threaten or impersonate anyone, including players, coaches and officials;
• try to get into accounts, consoles or data you aren’t allowed to see, or to get around privacy protections;
• scrape, copy in bulk or resell data from the platform, especially information about children;
• interfere with the site, overload it or upload malicious code.

Unauthorised access to computer systems and data is also an offence under Kenya’s Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act, 2018.

The laxConect name, logo, design, software and generated graphics belong to laxConect. You may share pages, posters and graphics with their branding intact, for example on social media. Team names and crests belong to their teams.

You can stop using laxConect and ask us to delete your account at any time (see your privacy rights). Official match records may be kept, as the Privacy Policy explains.

We may suspend or close an account, or remove an organisation’s access, if these terms are broken, to protect players (especially children), or if the law requires it. Where it’s safe to do so, we’ll tell you why.

We work hard to keep laxConect accurate and available, but it is provided “as is”. Scores, statistics and fixtures come from organisers and officials, and may sometimes be late or wrong. We are not responsible for the conduct of matches, events, courses or the organisations that run them.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for losses caused by information others enter. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Kenyan law that cannot be limited, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2012 and the Data Protection Act, 2019.

We may update these terms as laxConect grows. We’ll update the date at the top and, for material changes, tell account holders before they take effect. If you keep using laxConect after that, you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute.
